Delta: Volume 01
Changing Perspectives, Behaviors, Experiences, and Paradigms
HDR is world-renowned for its expertise in healthcare design, operational strategy, and thought leadership. We envisioned Delta as a means of translating our wealth of in-house knowledge with mu was envisioned is a publication that aims to help healthcare organizations not only embrace the rapid change that surrounds them, but thrive in it. The four chapters of the book focus on changing perspectives by creating a culture of innovation; changing behaviors by incorporating retail thinking strategies; changing experiences by learning what patients really want; and changing paradigms by using design to support preventive healthcare.
In this project, I helped develop the content and research strategy, working with architects and business developers to understand how our institutional knowledge can be coalesced to help our existing and future clients. From there, I led a multi-disciplinary research team and wrote the chapter on ‘Designing for Wellness’ - how design can be used as a healthcare “tool” to help people get better and stay well.
